The Ministry of Health reviewed the most common symptoms of hepatitis, on the occasion of World Viral Hepatitis Day.
The ministry explained that the liver is the organ that filters toxins from the blood and fights infections, and when it is exposed to infection, its vital function is affected, indicating that the most common symptoms of this disease are yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), dark urine, nausea and vomiting.
She pointed out that the patient may recover without complications or medical intervention, while in some cases the condition may develop into a chronic disease and then reach cirrhosis or cancer in the liver.
