The Saudi Arabian Airlines company clarified that it is allowed to travel on domestic flights with a digital identity card through the “Absher” application and without a passport.
The company’s clarification came in its response to an inquiry regarding the possibility of traveling internally with an expired passport, and the requirements for traveling on internal flights.
She pointed out that one of the requirements for travel for domestic flights is to bring the original national identity or family card for children, and the digital identity in the “Absher Individuals” application can be accepted in the event that the traveler does not have a national identity, but it must be valid.
