News 24 | Kuwaiti Health: 14 cases were injured in the Mubarakiya market fire that broke out today

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced that emergency crews have dealt with 14 cases so far, between minor burns and cases of suffocation in the hospital.The fire that broke out in Souk Al Mubarakiya today (Thursday), where 5 injured people were transferred to the hospital, and 9 patients were treated at the scene of the incident.

The Public Fire Force in Kuwait had clarified that 8 of its teams were continuing their work in the fight once morest the virus, stressing that the losses so far are represented in the burning of dozens of adjacent shops.

The public relations officer in the force, Lieutenant-Colonel Reda Al-Salman, said that the report regarding the fire was received by the force at 3:20 pm today, and it initially affected 20 stores, before spreading to neighboring stores, most of which contain goods of perfume and leather, in addition to the ceiling of the shops in the market. He made the fire extend so much and so fast that it was a legacy.

He added that the firefighting teams are doing their part according to an action plan despite all the major obstacles related to the market location and the crowding in the Mubarakiya area, calling to stay away from the fire site and make way for the firefighting and emergency mechanisms.

He explained that the firefighting teams took all precautionary measures once morest the fire, and a cordon was established around the site to prevent it from spreading to other shops and compounds.
