King Saud Medical City reviewed the reasons that may expose the child to cancer, and ways to prevent it.
The city indicated that the causes of cancer in children are linked to chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome, exposure to radioactive materials, or the advanced age of the parents.
She noted that to prevent cancer, it is necessary to pay attention to the child’s nutrition and to avoid exposing the child to intense radiation, and if he suffers from a genetic syndrome, he must follow up with a genetics doctor.
