The General Directorate of Passports clarified that a visitor visa can be converted into a residence permit for children under the age of 18, if the parents hold regular residence.
The directorate noted that if the head of the family is inside the Kingdom, the identity of a resident can be renewed if one of his dependents or escorts is abroad.
She pointed out that the exit and re-entry visa for those outside the Kingdom is extended electronically following paying the fees through a payment service through the “Absher” platform.
