News 24 | Stay close.. Awareness campaign for family bonding and protecting children from drugs

The General Secretariat of the National Committee for Drug Control launched the “Keep Close” campaign to raise awareness of the importance of closeness to children and family cohesion.

She explained that family bonding and interaction protects children from the danger of drug abuse.

A number of parties had participated in the campaign by posting tweets on their Twitter accounts bearing the hashtag “Keep Close”.

For his part, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, the former Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, interacted with the campaign, stressing that the average age to start using drugs is 13-18 years, and that parents should stay by their children’s side, and warn them of the dangers of trying anything unknown.
