After a complicated 2023 fiscal year, media giant News Corp, controlled by 92-year-old Australian tycoon Rupert Murdoch and his family, looks to the future with optimism and sees artificial intelligence as a reason to hope.

Listed on the Nasdaq, the parent company of the Dow Jones group (owner of the “Wall Street Journal”), the publisher HarperCollins and many Australian and British media (“The Sun”, “The Times”, “The Sunday Times” …) saw its revenues for the fiscal year 2023 melt by 5%, to 9.9 billion dollars once morest 10.4 billion dollars for the previous financial year. A decrease mainly due to negative currency effects, as well as a shorter fiscal year of one week compared to last year.
