From February 2024, nicko cruises will expand the range of river cruise destinations

As early as March 2023, the Stuttgart tour operator nicko cruises informed regarding the innovations in the product portfolio for the years 2024 and 2025 at the ITB. Next year, among other things, the expansion of the river cruise travel areas is planned, because from February 2024 nicko cruises will also be offering cruises on the well-known Mississippi in the USA.

The new river cruises are offered on the ship American Queen, which is the largest paddle steamer ever built and therefore no ordinary river cruise ship. Built in 1995 by American Queen Voyages, the ship is 128 meters long, 27 meters wide and was renovated in 2017. The maximum of 417 guests travel in 213 inside and outside cabins. Depending on the category, the cabins also have a veranda or their own access to the outer deck. The language onboard the American Queen is English and the onboard currency is US dollars according to the cruising area.

In 2024, there are seven departure dates for the 13-day USA trip to choose from – the first trip starts on February 10th, the last on November 30th, 2024.

The offer includes hotel stays (two each) in the departure and destination ports of New Orleans and Memphis, a one-week cruise on the ship American Queen, return flights from/to Germany and the corresponding transfers.

Along the route from New Orleans, Louisiana to Memphis, Tennessee, the American Queen calls at Nottoway, Point Coupee, Natchez, Vicksburg, and Tunica.
