Nigerian Drug Dealers Arrested in Kharghar: Latest Rise in Drug Cases Involving Nigerians in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai: Kharghar police arrested four Nigerians including two women with drugs worth Rs 1.3 crore. Egbulan Benjamin (42), Sibantha Jonathan Benin (35), Ikanoba Emmakiwella (22) and Favor George (23) were arrested on Wednesday night from a rented house in Kharghar Sector 12.

The accused who pushed the police and tried to run away were subdued by the police and brought to the station with their hands tied with ropes. Rajeev Shewal, senior inspector of Kharghar station, said that those arrested are those who supply drugs to drug addicts.

Drug cases involving Nigerians have been on the rise in the city in recent times. In the last two weeks, three cases involving Nigerians have been registered in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
