Nintendo | Universal Studios Delays Launch of Super Nintendo World Park Due to Pandemic

Universal Studios Japan has announced that el Super Nintendo World, the theme park of the Nintendo video game Super Mario Bros., has been delayed until next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The original plans of this amusement center was to be inaugurated in the context of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. However, the new coronavirus pandemic canceled the sporting event and has delayed its relatives.

In accordance with Nikkei, the launch of the park that was planned for this summer could be delayed until 2021 if necessary and if there are no better social conditions this year.

All constructions in the park they are almost finished.

Nintendo previously revealed that users will have “Power-Up Band” bracelets with character designs that will serve as step meters, visited sites and coins collected on the day. In addition, you will be able to challenge other players of the so-called “life size video game”. For example, an exclusive section was announced to play as in Mario Kart.

This park will be the first, since two more are planned in the United States and one in Singapore.
