Vienna – On Sunday followingnoon, in response to an APA request, the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest of three terror suspects who were apparently part of a cross-country Islamist network that is said to have discussed attack plans in Vienna, but also in Cologne and Madrid. According to media reports, Vienna’s St. Stephen’s Cathedral was said to be a potential attack target. However, there were probably no assassination plans immediately before implementation. “There are currently no indications that an attack in Vienna was imminent,” said authority spokeswoman Nina Bussek.
