Afghan Taliban army chief Qari Fasihuddin Fitr has denied that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) uses Afghan soil to carry out attacks inside Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference in Kabul on Wednesday, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat said that the TTP controls areas inside Pakistan and plans and executes its operations from there.
“There is no proof and no one can prove that TTP is present in Afghanistan,” Fasihuddin Fitrat said. TTP has bases in Pakistan and it also controls some areas there and from there it attacks inside Pakistan.’

He said, ‘Pakistan should not repeatedly blame Afghanistan for its shortcomings and we certainly reject these claims. The TTP is neither funded nor equipped from here.’
It should be noted that Islamabad’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Asif Durrani said in a statement on Monday that the terrorism under the auspices of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan is related to the problem of Afghanistan.

He urged the Taliban leaders of Afghanistan to clarify their relationship with the internationally designated terrorist group ‘Tehreek Taliban Pakistan’, which is wreaking blood across the border.
