DETROIT — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) found no evidence that Teamsters labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa was missing during a search of land under a New Jersey bridge, an official said Thursday. spokesperson.

The decades-long mystery uncovered land last year near an old dump, under the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City. The FBI conducted a search there in early June.

“Nothing of probative value was uncovered during this search,” said Mara Schneider, an FBI spokeswoman, in Detroit.

“Although we do not currently anticipate any further activity at the site, the FBI will continue to pursue any viable leads in their efforts to locate Mr. Hoffa,” she added.

Authorities believe Mr. Hoffa disappeared in suburban Detroit in 1975 while meeting with reputable mobsters.
