As part of the commemoration of World AIDS Day organized every December 1st around the world, NOBILA ASSURANCES organized a march in Cotonou. It was the section of the Fidjrossè corniche which received the team.

World AIDS Day is celebrated each year with events in support of people living with HIV and commemorates victims of AIDS-related illnesses. NOBILA ASSURANCES is part of this perspective and marked the day with a walk on the section of the Fidjrossè corniche. The NOBILA ASSURANCES team, strongly mobilized and led by the General Director, André Azibli, took the opportunity of the march to raise awareness among local residents, especially young people, regarding the importance of protecting themselves to avoid any STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) and especially HIV. On the red sweaters worn by the marchers, might we read a message: HIV will not pass through ME, and YOU?

Launched in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first international day dedicated to global health. Each year, UN agencies, governments and civil society come together to highlight issues specific to HIV. Awareness events are organized around the world. The red ribbon, a universal sign of recognition, support and solidarity towards people living with HIV, is worn by many people.
