Breaking News: Noel Gallagher Joins Psychedelic Supergroup; Oasis Tour and The Who Drama
New Track Drops for Mantra of the Cosmos
Noel Gallagher, former lead guitarist and songwriter of Oasis, has joined forces with Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays, Andy Bell of Ride, and Zak Starkey, former drummer of The Who, to launch the new single “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)” under the band name Mantra of the Cosmos. The track, which was earlier released in limited edition vinyl, is now available on digital platforms for streaming.
Psychedelic Fusion Inspires Fans
Describing the song as “Dylan, Dalí, Ginsberg and a bit of cosmic chatter,” Gallagher collaborated with Ryder, Bell, and Starkey, with Bez dancing, Zak drumming, and Bell interacting with all things that have ropes. The band celebrated their vinyl release with a special show at Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club, a historic spot where Ringo Starr played with The Beatles in 1962.
Oasis Tour Dates Announced
In a few weeks, Gallagher will embark on an anticipated Oasis reunion tour. The tour begins on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, with dates scheduled across the UK, Ireland, North America, Asia, and beyond. Andy Bell will join the Oasis reunion, stepping in as the bassist, taking up the role he played from 1999 to 2009.
Zak Starkey’s Future with The Who Remains Uncertain
Contrary to previous reports, Zak Starkey will not be part of this new Oasis stage. He is currently navigating a complex situation within The Who. After suffering “two drummer hits” in a live performance in March, rumors of his dismissal circulated. Later attributed to “communication problems,” these issues became more apparent when Starkey announced on Instagram that Roger Daltrey asked him to retire from the band.
The Who Prepares for Last American Tour
The Who is set to begin their last American tour on August 16 at the Sunrise Arena in Florida. While the future of Zak Starkey with The Who remains unclear, Joey Waronker will be taking his place for the Oasis reunion tour.
