At its club meeting on Wednesday, the FPÖ nominated Walter Rosenkranz for the office of National Council President. The previous Ombudsman was waiting to see whether he would be able to convince the majority of MPs in the constitutive meeting the next day. “That will work,” says Norbert Hofer when Martin Thür talks to him about Rosenkranz’s chances on ZIB-2 on ORF. The votes of the ÖVP and FPÖ together would ultimately be enough for a majority.
