The sky for the FPÖ is bright blue this Saturday: outside, a huge banner welcomes visitors to the “New Year’s Meeting 2024” in cold but sunny winter weather. In traditional fashion, the Freedom Party kicked off this “fateful year” on Saturday in the Schwarzlhalle in Premstätten near Graz, as FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl will later describe it in his hour-long speech.
