Nothing, the London-based consumer tech company, has unveiled its latest smartphones: the Nothing Phone 4a and the Nothing Phone 4a Pro. The new devices aim to inject a fresh aesthetic and enhanced features into the mid-range smartphone market, building on the brand’s distinctive design language and growing focus on artificial intelligence. The Ultra XDR mode captures up to 13 RAW images at varying exposures, merging them into a single frame for enhanced highlight and shadow detail, and can also create short motion clips from approximately 90 frames over three seconds. Video recording supports extended 4K at 30 frames per second, utilizing the same processing techniques.

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, an eight-core chipset with a prime core clocked up to 2.8GHz, three performance cores up to 2.4GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.8GHz. Graphics processing is handled by the Qualcomm Adreno 722 GPU. The phone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (460 pixels per inch), a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits for HDR content. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera is included for selfies and video calls.
Build Quality and Durability
With a thickness of just 7.95mm, the Phone 4a Pro is relatively slim. The aluminum body contributes to heat management. The device carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning it can withstand water immersion up to 25 centimeters for approximately 25 minutes.
