Serbian Novak Djokovic reached the final of the Flushing Meadows Championship, the fourth Grand Slam tournament in tennis, for the tenth time in his career, defeating American Ben Shelton 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
Djokovic (36 years old) will meet in the final match with the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Alcaras and Russian Daniil Medvedev.
The Serbian seeks to win his fourth title in New York, his 24th in major tournaments, and equal the record in both categories (men’s and women’s) held by Australian Margaret Court.
