Number of personal staff of ministers should be limited: HC Malayala Manorama

The High Court should set a limit on the number of personal staff members, including that of the Chief Minister. A bench headed by Chief Justice observed that the same applies to the staff appointments of Leader of Opposition and Chief Whip. The court also stated that it is not right to appoint people in the staff without accounting. At the same time, the High Court rejected the plea to introduce criteria for staff appointment. The court pointed out that it is a policy issue of the government.
