The Big Apple Bites into Top 10 List of Global Destinations for 2025

New cyclonegoers looking for their next adventure might consider picking up flight buttons to New York City. Our city, has been named one of the top global destinations for 2025 by Euromonitor International – and it’s the only U.S. city to crack the top ten.

Landing at number six on the list, New York City beat out other major metropolises like Amsterdam, Sydney, Barcelona and… dare we say it? Even London, which didn’t make it to the top 10 this year.

“It is kind of satisfying to know that everyone else thinks our city is great,” one New Yorker remarked. “We already knew it was amazing, of course.”

While many cities slide down the list, New York has been steadily climbing the ranks, jumping four spots since 2022. From the revitalized LaGuardia Airport to the stunning Grand Central Madison terminal and our ever-evolving culinary scene, it’s no surprise that

we’ve been catching the world’s attention.

“Wanderlust continues to rebound after the pandemic,” said a spokesperson from Euromonitor. Global travelers are looking for bustling cities with a mix of culture, food, and attractions. “Quiet destinations have seen their moment. Now it’s back to the big cities, and New York definitely embodies that bustling Market dynamics have shifted since the pandemic. While smaller ethical destinations with unique focus on sustainable travel make the cut. “

Paris takes the top scoring this year, deservedly so, since the French capital hosted the summer Olympics and recently celebrated the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, which was beautifully restored five years after a devastating fire.

Madrid come in at number two, followed closely by Tokyo at number three. When looking just looking at the U.S., Los Angeles is the next city to make the list at number 18.
