Schladming – The attack was announced – and successful: Marco Odermatt roared past the assembled competitors with a brutal run in the second round of the floodlit giant slalom in Schladming. In doing so, he thwarted the premiere victory of Manuel Feller in this discipline. The Tyrolean half-time leader was behind by 0.05 seconds, but finished second and made it onto the podium for the first time this season.
