Essen-Freiburg’s Adamu scored twice in the first round of the German Football Cup. The ÖFB legionnaire contributed the last two goals (73rd and 94th) in Breisgauer’s 4-0 win over Osnabrück. Despite falling behind after just two minutes, RB Leipzig, led by Nicolas Seewald, cruised to a 4-1 victory over third division club Rot-Weiß Essen. Other Bundesliga clubs Monchengladbach, Heidenheim and Union Berlin were also promoted on Saturday.
