Officially announced; The remaining matches of the IPL will be played in the UAE from September 15 to October 15

Mumbai: ( 29.05.2021) The remaining matches of the IPL, which have been suspended due to Kovid expansion, will be played in the UAE from September 15 to October 15. The announcement was made by BCCI chairman Rajeev Shukla after a special meeting. The remaining 31 matches will be played in September-October.

The BCCI has said that the weather will be bad in India at that time and there will be more Kovid cases so the tournament will be shifted to the UAE. The UAE was also the venue for the last IPL season.

The BCCI plans to start the IPL after India’s Test series against England. The first Test starts on August 4. There is a gap of nine days between the third Test and the fourth Test. If this is reduced to four days, the BCCI will get five more days. But the BCCI has not formally asked the England Cricket Board to change the 41-day window set aside for the five Tests.

He currently has 30 days before the BCCI. India and England teams need to reach UAE. Five days should also be set aside for knockout matches. With this, the BCCI can play 27 matches in 24 days. There will be two matches each on Saturday and Sunday.
