Olivier Vandecasteele: the Constitutional Court validates the prisoner transfer treaty with Iran

After long months of waiting, it is a relief for the relatives and all the supporters of Olivier Vandecasteele.

The decision fell this Friday evening, around 7 p.m. The Court decided to reject the appeal once morest the law of assent to the Belgian-Iranian treaty, but nevertheless attached a condition to its judgment: the victims of a convicted person must be informed of his transfer in order to be able to submit him to the control of legality of the judge.

According to our information, the government now seems ready to activate the transfer of detainees and bring back Olivier Vandecasteele.
