Olympiacos travels with Bruma to Eindhoven for the return on Thursday against PSV in the Europa League. The PSV mercenary was in doubt, but is fit enough to be part of the selection of the Greek champions. On the other hand, there is the absence of former Willem II member Marios Vrousai.
Vrousai remains behind in Greece with a knee injury that he sustained in the league match against Aris Saloniki last weekend. There was also a question mark behind the availability of central defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but the former Arsenal player is getting on the plane.
Bruma and Sokratis both had a basic place during the first game with PSV, while Vrousai came in ten minutes before the end. Olympiacos won 4-2, meaning PSV must score at least twice on Thursday to advance to the eighth finals of the Europa League.
The 26-year-old Bruma is hired by Olympiacos from PSV this season, where the Portuguese winger disappointed. For Olympiacos he found the net four times in nineteen games this season. The Greeks have negotiated an option to buy.
Vrousai came to Willem II in January 2019, who rented him from Olympiacos for a season and a half. In that period, the Greek scored six goals for the Tilburg team, after which he returned to Greece last summer.
PSV and Olympiacos will kick off on Thursday at 9 p.m. in the Philips Stadium. The competition is led by Clément Turpin.
Marios Vrousai has scored three goals for Olympiacos this season.
