They were on the verge of qualifying for the 2024 Olympics, but two and a half months later they were in the finals of the Olympic Championships. The French 3×3 basketball players won the medal on Monday, August 5, defeating the Latvian champions (21-14).
They patiently succeeded with two points of shooting skills (5 out of 11 shots). They took the time to celebrate their victory with their supporters, to the tune of Jean-Jacques Goldman’s “Quand la musique est bonne.”
But no time to enjoy. The Blues play the final against the Netherlands at 10:30 p.m., with the Netherlands beating Lithuania (20-9) in the second half.
