“They ran without us at the Olympics in Pyeongchang – and they didn’t worry much regarding it. So for me it will not be a problem to run without them. If they want to boycott, it only makes it easier for us. As for international competitions, it would be cool to win them. It is always a different competition, ”Ustyugov quotes Sport24.
We add that at the end of last season, FIS suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from international tournaments for an indefinite period.
It is currently unknown if Russian skiers will be able to compete in the new season at the World Cup. On October 22, the FIS Congress will take place, at which a decision should be made.
