Jeddah: Hajj and Umrah National Committee Deputy Chairman Hani Al-Amri said that one crore pilgrims are expected to arrive in the new Umrah season starting on Muharram 1. The activities of Saudi companies and institutions and foreign agents from all countries have started for Umrah services as the season is regarding to begin. There are more than 500 Umrah service companies in the country to serve the pilgrims.
It will have trained natives. There are more than 2,000 agents approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in different countries of the world. For the pilgrims who want to come in groups and individuals, suitable packages have been prepared. There are 34 local and international electronic reservation platforms approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the process of selecting and arriving at such packages.
More than 68 transport companies are authorized by the General Automobile Syndicate to serve visitors and pilgrims. There are more than 1,900 accommodation facilities classified as per Ministry of Tourism criteria and approved by Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Hajj and Umrah National Committee Deputy Chairman said that a system including modern technology to provide pilgrimage packages and issue entry visa within minutes has been prepared for the pilgrimage.
