Monkey pox has been confirmed once more in the state. A 31-year-old native of Kannur was diagnosed with the disease. The young man who came from Dubai on the 13th was under observation following showing symptoms. The health condition of the patient under treatment at Pariyaram Medical College is satisfactory.

The health department said that those who came in close contact have been put under observation. Kannur is the second monkey pox case in the country. The native who was first diagnosed with the disease is undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. The central team came to assess the situation and met with the top officials of the health department.
