Only 42 percent of Austrians are in favor of Ukraine continuing to fight – domestically

Linz – “There has been war in Ukraine for a year and a half. There are two opinions on this: Some say that Ukraine should fight to win back its national territory. Others say that there must be peace at any price – including the that Russia’s war of aggression is ultimately successful. What do you think?” The Linz Market Institute put this question to 805 representatively selected voters. And not even half said that Ukraine should keep fighting. In figures: 42 percent support the wish of the attacked Ukraine to regain its territory occupied by Russia – but 37 percent believe that there must be peace at any cost. The remaining fifth of respondents do not warm to any of the positions.
