Industrially launched in March 2017, the Opel Crossland X, produced at the PSA plant in Zaragoza, was the best-selling vehicle in Spain in April. Although the coronavirus crisis has plunged sales in Spain in this period, with only 4,163 units registered, the Opel model has managed to position itself as the best-selling model in Spain with around 500 units registered, followed by the Opel Corsa and the Citroën C3 .
An attractive and casual design and a high level of safety, performance and comfort have been key to the success of the Opel Crossland X, available from 16,420 euros.
Versatile, agile and spacious, the Opel Crossland X surpasses the quarter of a million units manufactured in little more than two years of industrial and commercial life, a production rate that gives an idea of the commercial success of this compact SUV, manufactured exclusively in Zaragoza.
It has, according to finishes, LED headlights, a projection screen (Head-up Display) and a 180 degree Panoramic Rear Vision Camera with Advanced Parking Assistant.
The Opel Crossland X incorporates the most advanced equipment in its segment, among which the Frontal Collision Alert with Pedestrian Detection and Automatic Emergency Braking, the Driver Sleepiness Alert, the Warning of Involuntary Lane Change, the Recognition of Traffic Signs and the Blind Spot Alert System.
In terms of connectivity, it offers the advantages of IntelliLink multimedia technology, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and includes a large color touch screen of up to eight inches. Compatible smartphones can be charged using inductive wireless charging.
It also excels in comfort and modularity with outstanding marks: both driver and co-driver can enjoy AGR-certified ergonomic seats. On the other hand, the maximum trunk volume of 520 liters – without folding down the rear seats – is a leader in its category. In addition, rear passengers have the possibility to adjust their seat length by 150 millimeters, increasing legroom or boot capacity.
“The Opel Crossland X is the offer of the brand in a category in full swing: SUVs in segment B. This model imposes its quality and performance on the market thanks to the good work of the Zaragoza plant, as demonstrated by its leadership in Spain during the month of April ”, stated Jorge Tomé, Director of Opel for Spain and Portugal. .
