BEIJING, July 3, 2022 (Xinhua) — The operating revenue of China’s chemical fiber industry expanded in the first five months of this year, official data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed.
The combined operating income of the major companies in the industry, each with an annual operating revenue of 20 million yuan (regarding 2.99 million US dollars), registered 437.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.7 percent, the data said.
The total profits of these companies amounted to 12.9 billion yuan, down 54.2 percent from the same period last year, the ministry noted.
During the period between January and May, the total production of the industry reached 27.64 million tons, to remain stable as it was in the same period of 2021. / End of News /
