The fire is located just south of State Road 528, a few miles west of MCO. FOX 35 Orlando reports that the scrapyard is owned by Trademark Metals Recycling, which operates 22 recycling facilities throughout Florida and is a wholly-owned venture of The David J. Joseph Company.
As of 4:27 PM EST, no structures are threatened by the fire, and no civilian injuries have been reported. But, one firefighter was evaluated for feeling lightheaded and is currently being assessed, ClickOrlando reports. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
