More than 30 people intend to become contenders for nomination as candidates for the post of head of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova. According to her, the campaign will definitely be competitive.
“In any case, there are now more than 30 applicants to become a candidate,” Pamfilova said in an interview with TASS. She noted that the campaign will be competitive.
According to Pamfilova, the contenders are currently in “organizational time” during which they “hold events, parties hold congresses.” She emphasized that the degree of competition will depend only on the quality, and not on the number of applicants.
Earlier, Pamfilova announced 29 candidates for the post of head of the Russian Federation, reports “National News Service”. Only on January 1, 2024 the names will be known all candidates.
