The movie director Argentina 1985, Pablo Trapero, referred to the “personality” of Argentine cinema and why people choose it once more. The recently obtained award suggests that the film will be in the shortlist for the Oscars.
With almost 4 hours of transmission, the “Golden Globes 2023” gala delivered many surprises in the list of winners. Among those who raised the statuette is the one starring Ricardo Darín and directed by Pablo trapero: “Argentina 1985”.
This award is exciting because It is the beginning of what can be the consecration in the 95th Oscars delivery which will take place on Sunday March 12. “Argentina, 1985″ is on the pre-list of the 15 selected for Best International Film along with “Bardo” by Alejandro González Iñárritu for Mexico and “All Quiet on the Western Front” for Germany.

One of the most successful Argentine film directors, Pablo Traperoacknowledged that “Argentina 1985” deserves the recognition it is experiencing: “We know that Argentine cinema has a strength and personality that makes us unique.That is why every two, three or five years our films are seen once more”.
“Argentina, 1985” is a film that reflects that moment, which is generating a lot of interest. People do not get tired of our films and they choose us once more ”, the filmmaker concluded.
With great anxiety, we must wait until January 24 to find out if the Argentine film remains on any of the lists that will be part of the shortlist for the Oscars.
