MEXICO CITY (AP) — Venezuelan Salomón Rondón scored three goals Tuesday night and Pachuca beat Philadelphia Union 6-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Rondón, in his first tournament in Mexico, scored his goals at seven, from a penalty, at 45 and added one more at 53.

The Colombian Nelson Deossa added a score in the 57th, the Dutch Ousama Idrissi added another in the 63rd and Alan Bautista sealed the score in the 85th.

The first leg had ended in a goalless draw.

Pachuca, led by Uruguayan Guillermo Almada, will now face the winner of the series between Herediano of Costa Rica and Robin Hood of Suriname, which favors the Ticos 2-0 and will be settled on Thursday.
