Palestinian faction movement: The current Egyptian offer is the best that was presented to us and reaching an agreement is possible within days

Gaza – An official source in the Palestinian faction movement announced that the current Egyptian offer is the best that was presented to the movement in recent months, stressing the possibility of reaching an agreement within days.

The source confirmed, “The Egyptian offer regarding the prisoner exchange deal with Israel and the truce in Gaza is acceptable to both parties, indicating that there is a dispute over the number of prisoners scheduled to be released.”

He added: “It is possible to reach an agreement within a few days.”

For his part, the Hebrew media wrote on Telegram: “It seems that Sinwar gave the green light for approval.”

Today, Tuesday, Israel will witness a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.

The country’s “war council” will also meet this evening to discuss the deal (prisoner exchange) and the issue of the expected Rafah operation.

A source familiar with the negotiations between the faction movement and Israel told the Arab World News Agency (AWP): “A deal between the two parties is imminent and may be reached within a few days if some of the problems that hinder implementation are quickly resolved.”

The source close to the mediators revealed to the agency that the Egyptian proposal is accepted by both parties, but the problem relates to the number of detainees held by the factional movement in the age group and job nature required to be released within the proposal.
