A Palestinian was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said on Saturday.
Ahed Salim, 20, was shot in the chest and stomach in Azzun, near the town of Qalqilyah, the ministry said in a statement.
The Israeli army said in a statement that it carried out routine activity in Azzun, where “suspects” threw “an explosive device” at its soldiers.
They “retaliated by opening fire”, according to this source, who specified that “an affected person has been identified” and that there were no injuries in his ranks.
