Palestinian Prisoners Authority: The occupation forces arrested more than 400 worshipers during their aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian Authority for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs announced that the Israeli occupation forces arrested more than 400 worshipers during their aggression once morest the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the people in it, last night.

In a statement issued today, the authority stated that the detainees were transferred to the “Atarot” detention center for interrogation, and it expected that most of them would be released on the condition that they be removed from Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.

Dozens of worshipers and those in retreat were injured, last night, following the occupation forces stormed the Al-Qibli prayer hall in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and fired rubber-coated metal bullets and poison gas bombs, and the sound was directed at them.

Video clips showed that the occupation forces assaulted the worshipers, severely beating them with batons and rifle butts, before arresting hundreds of them.

The tear gas canisters fired by the occupation soldiers set fire to a part of the Al-Qibli prayer hall, which was extinguished by the worshipers.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society in Jerusalem reported that its crews went to Al-Aqsa Mosque to treat the injured, but the occupation forces prevented the crews from entering the mosque and assaulted them.

In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation warplanes bombed, at dawn today, Wednesday, a site west of Gaza City.

And the Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, reported that the occupation warplanes targeted, with at least one missile, a site west of the city, which caused material damage, without any injuries reported.
