Palm d’Or for ‘Triangle of Sadness’ Palm d’Or for the Triangle of Sadness

PARIS: No one was surprised when the Palme d’Or Award for Best Picture was announced at the 75th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday night. The Palme d’Or Award goes to Swedish director Ruben Osland’s dark comedy film Triangle of Sadness.

In 2017, Ruben won the Palme d’Or with The Square. He is the ninth director to win the Palme d’Or twice. The films Close and Stars at Noon shared the Grand Prix. Park Chan-wook of South Korea won Best Director for his role in Decision to Leave.

South Korean actor Song Kang Ho has been nominated for Best Actor for his role in the film Broker. Iranian actress Zahra Amir Ibrahimi won Best Actress for her performance in Holy Spider. Gypsy-Swedish director Tariq Saleh’s Boy from Heaven won the Best Screenplay award.
