Bangalore: Senior BJP leader H Vishwanath has criticized the Sangh Parivar organizations for calling for a ban on Muslim traders in the temple premises. Viswanath, who is also a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council, alleged that the government was pampering religious politics.

‘Muslims live in other countries as well. Aren’t these Muslims selling food and flowers? The problem there is, they are small traders. What will they eat. It is not a matter of Hindus and Muslims, it is a question of an empty stomach, ”said H. Viswanath.

He also accused the government of being a silent spectator in the conflict between the two communities in the state. Take a stand. He added that he had already informed Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomma of his opposition.

This is the BJP government. “It is not the RSS or the Bajrang Dal or any other organization,” he said in an interview with NDTV.

H. Viswanath defected from the JDS in 2019 and joined the BJP.
