Panasonic announces closure of battery factory in Peru | Businesses in Peru | ECONOMY

Panasonic announced an international restructuring of its operations which, in the case of Peru, implies the closure of its industrial battery operation and the strengthening of its commercial operation of electrical devices, especially white goods and batteries.

Through a statement, the company reported that as of this decision, the Peruvian market will be supplied with Panasonic batteries from the industrial operations that the transnational has in the region.

“This decision responds to an international restructuring of the Japanese company, as part of its plan to optimize operations in the medium term and in response to changes in global trends in demand and technology,” he explained.

It should be noted that Panasonic in Peru has a wide portfolio of batteries, appliances and audio/video.
