Paraguay TV will expand its offer with a signal dedicated to culture and education

Asunción, IP Agency.- The state channel Paraguay TV is preparing to enable a new television signal dedicated to art, culture, education, and even sports, as part of the process of modernizing the State’s media for greater rapprochement with citizens.

MITIC State Media Director Hector Riveros confirmed the new signal this Wednesday during the La Mañana Nacional program. This will be possible with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), who delivered the necessary equipment for the new transmission.

Through its digital signal 15.2 Paraguay TV will offer this new proposal that seeks to combine arts, sports, education, sciences, and much more, Riveros indicated. KOICA’s cooperation also includes the presence of a group of technicians who are currently assisting in the assembly of the equipment and the reorganization of behind the camera.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC) has been carrying out a process of modernization of the State media for a year, aiming to take advantage of available resources and convert the media into multiplataformas.

Thus, a cooperation from the Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) allowed in December the complete renewal of the central control of the channel. The cooperation continues with the installation in the short term of a new television studio, which will make use of the technology of chroma keyin the historic building of Radio Nacional del Paraguay.
