“Go to the pink building, I live in blue”. This fictitious dialogue between athletes of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will soon be possible thanks to… clay from Maine-et-Loire. It is a small business in the village of Rairies, a historic stronghold of terracotta, which covers the 6,000 m2 of facades of seven buildings in the sports village in Saint-Ouen and Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint -Denis). A market of 400,000 euros won by Rairies Montrieux, a family business for five generations. The culmination of two years of work, from the first interviews with the architects to the manufacture of 150 tons of materials by four employees in six months.
