Pea producers in Russia panicked due to the loss of sales markets

Russian pea producers have asked the country’s government to intensify negotiations with China on opening its market for this product.

In a letter from the Siberian Grain Consortium Association, sent to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, it is said that due to sanctions, pea growers may lose large sales markets. At the same time, significant areas are planned in the structure of crops for peas, it follows from the circulation.

Prior to the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, agricultural producers in Siberia mainly exported peas to the Baltic countries, which were subsequently classified as unfriendly.
