20 illegal migrants were stopped at the Lithuanian border with Belarus in the past day, VSAT reported on Thursday. Eight days before that, VSAT did not record any illegal attempts to cross the border of Lithuania.
On Wednesday, 95 attempts to illegally cross the border were recorded on the border of Latvia, Polish officials did not allow 120 migrants to enter the country on Tuesday.
Thursday, around 10 a.m. morning, 21 illegal migrants have already been stopped at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, 15min said VSAT representative Giedrius Mišutis. He did not dare to predict how many such cases will be registered during the day of November 9.
However, as G. Mišutis stated, the Lithuanian authorities did not expect that the peace of the week meant that the crisis of illegal migration was over, seeing what was happening in Latvia and Poland, they were simply waiting for migrants to appear at our border again.
