A pedestrian is in mortal danger following being the victim of a traffic accident on Monday morning in the Brussels municipality of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. The car that knocked him down continued on his way, reports La Capitale, the information of which is confirmed by the local police in Brussels North (Evere / Saint-Josse-ten-Noode / Schaerbeek).

“Our teams intervened around 6:45 a.m. for an accident in rue du Marché in which a pedestrian and a car were involved”, communicates the Brussels North police. “The injured person was transported to the hospital. His vital prognosis is engaged. A perimeter has been delimited to operate the usual findings. The investigation to identify the driver and find him is in progress.” The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear and are being investigated by the Brussels public prosecutor’s office.
