Pelé, last minute on his state of health live

“My father is not in palliative care”

Kely and Flávia, Pelé’s daughters, have given an interview to the Fantastic program, in which they assure that his father’s condition is much better than what has been broadcast by some Brazilian media to date.

“I don’t like to say that the cancer treatment isn’t working. It already has, it’s working. He’s just here, breathing, it’s already working very well. He didn’t have full remission from colon cancer. It is very unfair to say that it is terminal, in palliative treatment. It’s not that, believe us,” said Flávia, who lives in Sao Paulo.

Kely, who lives in the United States, explains that the hospitalization is not a farewell to O Rei. “He’s sick, he’s old and he’s in hospital with a lung infection. When he gets better, he’ll come home. She will not be saying goodbye at the hospital at this time,” she said.
