New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices will go up in the country on Thursday. Petrol price will be hiked by 87 paise per liter and diesel by 84 paise. With this, the price of a liter of petrol in the national capital Delhi will go up to Rs 101.81. Diesel price will be hiked to Rs 93.07 per liter.
Oil companies have been raising petrol and diesel prices for the past few days. The companies have been raising prices since March 22. After March 22, petrol price was hiked by Rs 6.40. The price of diesel was similarly increased. The companies had not changed oil prices for 137 consecutive days due to the election in five states.
Brent crude, meanwhile, rose $ 2.80 to $ 112.7 a barrel in international trade. West Texas Intermediate crude hit $ 107.
